(Washington, D.C.) – On Monday, House Science, Space, and Technology Committee Chairman Brian Babin joined Acting NASA Administrator Sean Duffy, Senator Ted Cruz, and former Speaker Kevin McCarthy for a tour of NASA's Johnson Space Center (JSC).
The delegation visited the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility, spoke with the astronaut crew aboard the International Space Station, and met with several astronauts and JSC staff.
"Johnson Space Center drives NASA,” said Chairman Babin. “From astronaut training to mission operations, JSC is essential to America's success in human spaceflight. Its workforce, expertise, and leadership are critical to every mission we undertake."
Chairman Babin also highlighted the Committee's focus on continuity in America's space program:
"Under President Trump's leadership, we are committed to Artemis–landing U.S. astronauts on the Moon during his term and building a sustained presence on the lunar surface and in low-Earth orbit. With the dedicated men and women at JSC, America will continue to be the world's preeminent spacefaring nation."
