Gulfport, MS - NASA Administrator Charles Bolden today announced three changes to senior leadership at the Agency.  Mr. Robert Lightfoot has been formally named Associate Director of NASA’s Headquarters in Washington D.C.; Stennis Space Center Director Patrick Scheuermann will become Director of Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama; and former Stennis Deputy Director, Dr. Richard Gilbrech, will take Scheuermann’s place as Director at Stennis Space Center.

“It’s been a pleasure working with each of these gentlemen over the last year and a half, and I look forward to working with each of them in their new roles,” said Rep. Steven Palazzo (R-MS), Chairman of the Space and Aeronautics Subcommittee.  “I’m especially sad to see Director Scheuermann go, but he is leaving Stennis in great shape and in capable hands.”

Administrator Bolden called to notify Chairman Palazzo of the changes in NASA leadership.
