House Science, Space, and Technology Committee Ranking Member Frank Lucas (R-OK) issued a statement today on the Senate vote to confirm Bill Nelson as the 14th Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

“I’d like to congratulate Senator Nelson on his confirmation to serve as the Administrator of NASA,” Lucas said. “He has a long history of advocating for our space program, and I appreciate his dedication to America’s leadership in space. NASA is pursuing some of their biggest missions yet as we work to return humans to the Moon, establish a lasting presence there, and send crewed missions to Mars. It’s an exciting time that requires strong leadership, and I’m looking forward to working with Senator Nelson to keep NASA soaring high.”
