Chairman Gordon is Honored for Leadership in Science and Technology

 

Chairman Gordon receives the 2008 George E. Brown Jr. Science, Engineering and Technology Leadership Award from IEEE.  

In recognition for his leadership in enhancing science and innovation in America, Chairman Gordon was presented the 2008 George E. Brown Jr. Science, Engineering and Technology Leadership Award by the Science, Engineering and Technology Work Group (SETWG) on March 4, 2008.

This award is presented annually to Members of Congress who are effective advocates of federal investment in science and technology. Chairman Gordon was acknowledged for his tireless investment in America’s future. Gordon authored H.R. 2272, the America COMPETES Act which improves math and science education to ensure our nation’s competitive position in the world. The America COMPETES Act was signed into law on August 9, 2007.
